YESTERDAY'S ANSWERS:


1.On May 2, 1808, Manuela was only 17 years old and it seems she fought the French, and died 18 hours after the uprising in the current Plaza del Dos de Mayo.

4. It's been said that the Charge of the Mamelukes  is set in Calle de Alcalá and  in  Puerta del Sol.  It depicts the people from Madrid fighting against the Mamelukes.



5. It is the place where Madrileños  appeared demanding that the royals remain and protesting against the French occupation. The French forces opened fire, then  the citizens of Madrid fought with sticks, hoes, and even pitchforks all over the city, obviously that day, they lost, but after many years, they won the Spanish War of Independence.
